LAND ROVER HAS BEST MONTH OF 1993

 LANHAM, Md., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Sales of British-built Land Rover and Range Rover sport utility vehicles totaled 409 in September compared to 286 for the same month last year for an increase of 43.0 percent. The September results bring the year-to-date total to 3,259 units, an increase of 31.8 percent over the 2,472 units sold during the same period in 1992.
 "Momentum at Land Rover is building," said Charles R. Hughes, president, Land Rover North America, Inc. "We are excited about the Oct. 15 launch of Defender 90 which, with its MSRP of $27,900, will give us entree to a much wider segment of the sport utility market."
