LAFARGE CORPORATION DECLARES QUARTERLY CASH DIVIDEND

 RESTON, Va., July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The board of directors of Lafarge Corporation (NYSE: LAF; TSE, ME) today declared a cash dividend of 7.5 cents ($0.075) per share on the company's common stock. The common dividend is payable on Sept. 1, 1993, to shareholders of record on Aug. 16, 1993.
 Lafarge currently operates 15 full-production cement plants, two grinding facilities and more than 90 distribution facilities throughout the United States and Canada, with an annual production capacity of more than 14 million tons of cement. The company also has approximately 450 construction materials operations and is one of the largest suppliers of ready-mixed concrete and aggregates in North America. Systech Environmental Corporation, a Lafarge subsidiary, is a leader in co- processing, or recycling industrial waste into fuel for cement kilns.
 Based in Reston, Lafarge Corporation is a Fortune 500 company with 7,600 employees and 1992 sales of $1.5 billion. Its majority shareholder, Lafarge Coppee of Paris, is one of the world's largest producers of building materials with operations in 35 countries and 1992 sales of $5.8 billion.
