LADBROKE TO OFFER SIMULCASTING, WAGERING FOR NORTHFIELD PARK RACES
MEADOW LANDS, Pa., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Ladbroke at The Meadows will offer simulcasting and wagering Friday night on the $300,000 Breeders Crown Filly Pace and the $300,000 Colt & Gelding Pace from Northfield Park in Cleveland.
According to a spokesman for Ladbroke, So Fresh, with John Campbell, is the heavy odds on favorite in the Filly Pace. The spokesman said this filly has been tearing up the limestone this year, winning 14 times in 18 starts. So Fresh appears to be headed for divisional "Horse of the Year" honors and would clinch that title with a victory on Friday evening.
Meanwhile, the Ladbroke spokesman said, Western Hanover, and Bill Fahy, is a 9-5 slight favorite in the tougher-to-predict Colt & Gelding Pace. Survivor Gold, and Dave Wall, who will have the rail in the race, is at 2-1, the second favorite. In the elminations last Friday, Survivor Gold upset Western Hanover.
The track spokesman said that in addition to the normal excitement involving a Breeders Crown, Meadows officials will also allow fans to participate in the National Twin Trifecta which will take place in accordance with those two Breeders Crown races on Friday night from Northfield Park.
