LADBROKE: AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING ATTEMPTED BURGLARY AT LADBROKES-MOON TOWNSHIP

MEADOW LANDS, Pa., Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Local authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding an attempted burglary at Ladbrokes-Moon Township sometime early today, a Ladbroke spokesman said.
Ladbroke spokesman Bob Sabot said that approximately $5,000 in damages are estimated. The damage was confined mostly to doors and locks. No money was taken. However, the burglars did cut phone lines to the establishment.
"Because of problems with the phone lines, we were forced to close the facility to wagering on Monday. With it being the Columbus Day holiday, we are estimating a handle loss for the day of approximately $80,000," Sabot said.
The burglary was discovered early this morning and it was estimated that the incident occurred between 12:15 and 7 a.m. today, the spokesman said.
Ladbrokes-Moon Township will reopen for business on Tuesday, Oct. 12. Sabot said Ladbroke officials declined further comment on the matter except that authorities are conducting an investigation.
