 LABARGE WINS $3.3 MILLION CONTRACT FROM WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC
 ST. LOUIS, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- LaBarge, Inc. (AMEX: LB) has been awarded a contract valued at $3.3 million for the production of a variety of cables, electronic assemblies and other hardware for the MK-48 ADCAP torpedo. The announcement was made today by Craig E. LaBarge, chief executive officer and president of LaBarge, Inc.
 The contract, awarded by Westinghouse Electric Corporation (NYSE: WX), is for the follow-on production of these products. LaBarge has been supplying these items to Westinghouse for 3 years.
 The production will take place at LaBarge's manufacturing facilities in Joplin, Mo., and Huntsville and Berryville, Ark. Production will continue through August 1993.
 The MK-48 ADCAP is the Navy's advanced heavy weight torpedo. The torpedo is wire-guided through a two-day communications link. It is approximately 19 feet long, 21 inches in diameter and weighs about 1 ton.
 Based in St. Louis, LaBarge recently reported earnings for the first six months of fiscal 1992 of $1,187,000, up 65 percent from the net earnings of $720,000 recorded for the first half of fiscal 1991. Net sales for the first half of fiscal 1992 were $38,009,000 up 15 percent compared to the prior year's first half.
