 LABARGE RECEIVES CONTRACTS FROM G.E. DIVISION
 ST. LOUIS, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- LaBarge, Inc. (AMEX: LB)


announced today that it has received contracts totaling approximately $7.5 million for the production of high reliability printed circuit card assemblies and other electronic modules for use in the AEGIS tactical battle management radar system. The contracts were received from the Government Electronic Systems Division of General Electric, according to Craig E. LaBarge, chief executive officer and president of LaBarge, Inc.
 Production on these contracts will take place at LaBarge's facility in Huntsville, Ark. Approximately 60 people are dedicated to the AEGIS program at the Huntsville plant where work has been underway on the program since 1990. The new contracts will extend production through December 1993.
 The AEGIS system is the most advanced shipboard anti-aircraft and anti-missile system in the world. LaBarge is also involved in other aspects of the program, having produced the standard display used in AEGIS since 1987.
 Craig E. LaBarge commented: "We are extremely pleased to be chosen by G.E. to continue the production effort on this most important program. Our people in Huntsville have done an outstanding job and have been recognized by both G.E. and the Navy for their efforts."
