LA COUNTY FILM OFFICE NAMES NEWLY CREATED FILMING TASK FORCE MEMBERS

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- The Economic Development Corp.'s LA County Film Office today announced the members of the newly created Los Angeles County Motion Picture and Teleproduction Task Force (the "Task Force"). Responding to unanimously passed motion by Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, the Task Force will replace and expand the County's former Filming Advisory Task Force that was dissolved in March of this year.
Stated Supervisor Antonovich, "Due to increased competition from other states, the County must take an even stronger and more pro-active stance in retaining this vital industry and continue the commitment of keeping Los Angeles County the entertainment capital of the world. The Task Force will be coordinated and chaired by the Economic Development Corp. which is currently contracted by the County of Los Angeles to operate the Los Angeles County Film Office, a public/private partnership responsible for the retention and development of the $8 billion entertainment industry.
Cody G. Cluff, LA County Film Office Executive Director and Task Force Chair, said, "The diversity and far-reaching expertise of the individuals selected to serve as members of the expanded Task Force will bring together an unprecedented group of industry professionals to focus on identifying problems and implementing pro-active solutions to retain this important industry."
