L.J. Melody finances Westfield office bldg.

L.J. Melody & Company, the real estate banking arm of CB Richard Ellis, has arranged permanent, fixed-rate financing in the amount of $2.1 million for 530 South Ave. in Westfield, N.J. Merrill Lynch leases 67% of the subject property.

This newly-renovated; three-story suburban office building features a brick facade and 12,896 s/f of space. The property is conveniently located in downtown Westfield, an area that provides cosmopolitan amenities within a long-established suburban character.

American Equity Investment Life Insurance Company provided the funding on behalf of the borrower. James Gunning, a senior director in L.J. Melody & Company's New Jersey office, secured funding for this transaction.
