L.A. BEAT : GALAXY DEFENDER LAK WAIVED.

The Galaxy waived reserve defender Peter Lak on Thursday, making him one of 16 Major League Soccer players available for Monday's waiver draft.

The decision comes one day after the Galaxy and Mexican First Division club Atlante played to a 1-1 draw in front of more than 4,000 in Santa Barbara.

The team played with several loan players - including former UCLA standout Eddie Lewis and former Cal State Fullerton goalkeeper Mike Ammann. The Galaxy meets Mexico's Atlas on Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Bakersfield at 6 p.m. as it continues offseason training.
