 L. DAVID SIKES APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF
 RAMTRON INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Ramtron International Corporation, a majority-owned subsidiary of Ramtron Holdings Ltd., (ADRs; NASDAQ: MEMRY) announces, effective July 7, 1992, the appointment of L. David Sikes as president and chief operating officer, assuming responsibility for the company's operational activities.
Sikes takes over from Richard L. Horton, who has held the position of president and COO since 1988. Horton will become president and COO of Ramtron's jointly owned RF/ID venture, Racom ID Systems, Inc. of Boulder, Colo., where he will be responsible for Racom's operations.
Sikes has over 19 years high-technology experience in process, research and development and general management. Prior to joining Ramtron, Sikes held management and executive positions at Motorola, Inc., and most recently was President and C.E.O. of ASM America, Inc., a semiconductor equipment company.
"David Sikes is an industry veteran and has a proven track record with a number of successful companies," explains George Stathakis, Ramtron's chairman and C.E.O. "His experience in managing fast-growing high-tech corporations will help accelerate Ramtron's current commercialization program. Adding someone of Dave's caliber to our management team is evidence of the confidence we have in our technologies and products." Stathakis further comments, "Richard Horton has made many contributions to Ramtron's development. His move to Racom is a natural evolution and I am confident he will be instrumental in their growth."
Ramtron International Corporation, founded in 1984, develops, manufactures, and markets FRAM(R) products based on ferroelectric materials with unique nonvolatile and high-dielectric constant storage characteristics.
