Kyrgyzstan among 7 countries with highest rate of HIV spread - UNAIDS.

The 5th two-day forum of NGOs working to prevent HIV infection in Kyrgyzstan started on October 1 in Bishkek. Representatives of state and international organizations, MPs and around 80 NGOs are taking part in the event. The evaluation of UNAIDS said that Kyrgyzstan is among 7 countries of the world with the highest rate of HIV infection, it was mentioned during the forum. International donors provided $30 mln to Kyrgyzstan to combat HIV/AIDS for 3 years. Main support comes from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The forum is organized with UNDP support as part of implementation of the grants of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in Kyrgyzstan.
