Kyrgyzstan, Russia sign memorandum of cooperation in standardization and metrology.

Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan and Russia's Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of standardization and metrology in Chisinau, Moldova on Dec 11.

The purpose of the memorandum is to create favorable conditions for the exchange of scientific and technical information, closer cooperation in the field of standardization and metrology.

The memo was signed in accordance with the protocol inked following the 20th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Russian intergovernmental commission for trade, economic cooperation on March 30, 2018 in Moscow.

The parties will exchange information on the national standardization system, rules and procedures for developing standards, preparing proposals for harmonizing regulatory documents in the field of legal metrology, implementing bilateral comparisons and calibrations of national standards.

By doing so, the parties contribute to creation of favorable conditions for trade and economic relations.
