Kyrgyz-Altai trade turnover reaches $15 mln in first 9 months of 2017.
Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and the Altai Territory amounted to more than $15 million in the first 9 months of 2017, according to expert in the organization of trade and economic missions of the Altai Chamber of Commerce and Industry Natalia Akimenko.
Bishkek hosted the business meeting between Kyrgyzstan and the Altai delegation on February 20.
During the meeting, Akimenko said Altai exports timber, fats and oils of vegetable and animal origin to Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyzstan imports vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to Altai, she said.
According to her, the Altai Territory is engaged in mechanical engineering, wood processing, and the region is considered the breadbasket of Siberia, since it ranks 1st in the Russian Federation in terms of the size the sowing land area.
According to the expert, great attention is paid to the trade and economic development of enterprises jointly with the Kyrgyz Republic. During the last 6 years, 3 trade missions of Altai entrepreneurs to Bishkek were conducted: in 2012, 2015 and 2017.
