Kyrgyz debt for agriculture projects comprises over $245.4 million.

As of August 2013, Kyrgyz debt for projects in the field of agriculture comprises more than $245.42 million, coordinator of the working group on monitoring of external loans Chinara Aitbaeva said on August 27 at the round table discussion on the intermediate results of the monitoring of the Rural Investments-2 project. Thus, today Kyrgyzstan has active loans from the German Development Bank - 4 million Euros, the Asian Development Bank - over 71.8 million of special drawing rights (SDR), the International Development Association - 80.2 million SDRs, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development - 5.9 million SDRs. Special drawing rights (SDRs) are supplementary foreign exchange reserve assets defined and maintained by the International Monetary Fund. Not a currency, SDRs instead represent a claim to currency held by IMF member countries for which they may be exchanged.
