Kyrgyz Deputy Defense Minister, NATO Liaison Officer discuss expansion of cooperation.

Deputy Defense Minister of Kyrgyzstan Zamir Suyerkulov on July 10 met with NATO's Liaison Officer for Central Asia Alexander Vinnikov, the Ministry's press service said.

Priority areas of cooperation, individual partnership program, analysis and planning for Partnership for Peace Program were discussed at the meeting.

Deputy Defense Minister Suyerkulov thanked NATO for support of the initiative of Kyrgyzstan on social adaptation of military discharged from the Kyrgyz Armed Forces.

"Thanks to your support more than 500 discharged military received re-training at various departments of universities of our country. That helped them to enhance their chances of finding new jobs," the Deputy Defense Minister said.

Cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and NATO is developing dynamically and has a good foundation for further improvement and deepening, Deputy Minister Suyerkulov stressed.
