Kyrgyz Customs Service, representatives of US Department of Energy discuss cooperation ties.

The State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan hosted a meeting between chairman of the agency Adamkul Junusov and Manager of the Second Line of Defense Program under the US Department of Energy Joseph Sexton, the press service of the State Customs Service reported on November 16. During the meeting, the sides discussed equipment of a railway checkpoint Kyzyl-Kiya and international airport in Osh City. The Manager of the Second Line of Defense Program presented preliminary projects on these facilities.The railway checkpoint Kyzyl-Kiya will be equipped with radiation monitors to hold control over trains, and billboards of communication systems will be installed, according to an earlier agreement. Construction works will be begun on 14 March 2014. Preliminary test of the facilities is scheduled for 10 August 2014. Besides, training sessions will be held for customs officers of Kyrgyzstan in the framework of the project.
