Kyocera Corporation (President: Hideo Tanimoto, herein 'Kyocera') today announced that the company has settled its on-going patent disputes with Preh GmbH (President & CEO: Christoph Hummel, herein 'Preh').
In 2018, Kyocera filed a lawsuit with the Dusseldorf Regional Court against the automotive supplier Preh for potential infringement of a Kyocera patent in the field of haptic feedback. Preh then filed an action for annulment with Germany's Federal Patent Court in Munich.
Through negotiations, both companies have decided to settle the patent dispute by entering into a technology licensing agreement. The agreement was concluded with a mutually acceptable result.
