Kylie fella is bit of a Cantona; EXCLUSIVE.

KYLIE Minogue's French boyfriend has been doing a Cantona - spouting his own brand of philosophy that nobody understands.

Asked his views on love, 37-year-old actor Olivier Martinez told American Elle: "Love is based on imagination. If you threw a plain twig in a saltmine, it would come out covered in salt crystals.

"It would still be the same twig, but would look totally different. That's what falling in love is like." He added: "It's not only imagination, it's the distortion of the vision."

Martinez's musings recalled footballer Eric Cantona's most absurd philosophical gem: "When seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think the sardines will be thrown into the sea."

Martinez also quotes a proverb from North African tribe, the Berbers, in the interview: "You put your tent away and put your heart closer."

Kylie, of course, is renowned for having said: "I should be so lucky - lucky, lucky, lucky."
