Kuyt sued over 'pounds 50k unpaid bill' DISPUTE.

LIVERPOOL star Dirk Kuyt is being sued for pounds 50,000 for an alleged unpaid building bill.

The Dutch striker, 29, who will play in the Europa League semi-final at Anfield tonight, is the subject of a High Court claim over a huge pounds 400,000 home extension.

London property group Knight Frank says it is owed money for work at the player's home in Woolton, Liverpool, nearly two years ago.

The firm claims it should have been paid 11% of the total for acting as "administrators" on the project.

But after submitting a bill for pounds 44,000 plus VAT, Kuyt's legal team argued Knight Frank should have been paid on an hourly rather than a percentage basis.

The claim states: "Vague and entirely spurious allegations have been raised about the claimant's services and the defendant has failed and refused to pay the invoice."

Kuyt, 29, who is thought to earn pounds 70,000 a week, was not available for comment.
