Kuwaiti oil price up 8 cents to USD 52.09 pb.

KUWAIT, April 11 (KUNA) -- The price of Kuwaiti oil went up by eight cents to USD 52.09 per barrel Monday after being at USD 52.01 pb last Friday, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Tuesday. At the global level, the price went up due to the closure of a major oil facility in Libya. The geopolitical tension, which resulted from the US strike against the Syrian regime, still played a role in shaping the global price. The price of the Brent crude went up 74 cents to USD 55.98 pb, the same case with the American crude price which went up by 84 cents to USD 53.08 pb. (end) osj.gta
