Kuwait seeks to dispatch students to Canada to study business, economics.

WASHINGTON, May 19 (KUNA) -- Chairman of Kuwait's Cultural Office in Canada Dr. Fahad Al-Nasser has discussed with officials of the Canadian Brock University enrolling Kuwaiti students at its business, economics, and scientific faculties. In a press statement Tuesday, the Kuwait's Cultural Office said that Al-Nasser has also mulled with the officials the facilities offered by the university to would-be Kuwaiti students. Al-Nasser noted that Brock University is the only university in Canada that is located in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve which makes it an excellent place for study. Brock University, which enrolls over 18,000 students, offers a wide range of programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including professional degrees. It was ranked 3rd among Canadian universities in the "undergraduate" category for research publication output and impact indicators in 2008. Hundreds of Kuwaiti students are studying in the Canadian universities, most of enrolled in the medical faculties. (end) yt.ibi
