Kuwait hosts an ASOSAI meeting on Monday.
KUWAIT, April 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait State Audit Bureau (SAB) announced Saturday hosting the fourth session of the 11th research project of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) on Monday, titled "preparation of an audit risk plan." A press statement by SAB member who is participating in the meeting, Talal Al-Wehaib, said professional researches help in developing the auditors' capabilities. "What makes that research project special is it has been prepared on a regional level by a team made up of 11 different supervisory apparatuses from the Asian organization," he added. Al-Wehaib also said that SAB participated in conducting the first chapter of the research, where it verified the audit plan and the risks auditors encounter at audited entities, in addition to pointing out suggestions to be made in other chapters, which have been prepared by the other states members. He noted that the session's period would be for two days, where discussions would be open on related issues, in addition to previous encounters that faced the supervisory apparatuses in that field. SAB suggested using questionnaires to stretch the research to reach the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) standard. ASOSAI, established in 1978 as one of the regional groups of the INTOSAI, aims to promote understanding and cooperation between members. (end) km.mys
