Kuwait : IICO signs humanitarian cooperation agreement with IOM.

Kuwait International Islamic Charity Organization (IICO) and International Organization for Migration (IOM) have finalised a contract of collaboration in humanitarian work.

IICO's Chairman Dr. Abdullah Al-Matouq said, at the finalising ceremony that the organization has formed collaboration with many charity organizations locally, regionally and internationally.

Finalising a cooperation contract with IOM would add to the organization's long history of setting up humanitarian and aid projects, Al-Matouq said.

It was an easy choice for IOM to associate with IICO due to the latter's credibility and pioneering role in philanthropic work, head of IOM's mission Iman Uraiqat pointed out at the event.

This collaboration would offer expertise and consultations in the aid and humanitarian businesses as well as raising awareness in curtailing global matters.

The International Organization for Migration is an intergovernmental organization. It works to help ensure the orderly and humane management of migration, to promote international cooperation on migration issues, to assist in the search for practical solutions to migration problems and to provide humanitarian assistance to migrants in need, be they refugees, displaced persons or other uprooted people.
