Byline: MH (P)/SR

SULAIMANIYA / Aswat al-Iraq: The undersecretary of Kurdistan's regional Ministry of Interior (MOI) on Monday said that the region's government does not sign contracts to buy arms without Baghdad's permission, denying news reports that depicted Kurdistan had received Bulgarian dispatches of arms.

"The region's cabinet does not sign contracts to buy arms from any side without the federal government's permission," General Jalal Kareem told Aswat al-Iraq.

He denied the Washington Post's yesterday report in this regard.
