Krusty curse for the kids.

Byline: Paul Ross

BIT of a kerfuffle this week as Channel 4 had to apologise for a swear word that slipped out in a 6pm Simpsons episode.

Krusty the Clown said "B*****d". Hardly enough to turn Marge's hair more blue.

The po-faced apology came as we learned the average Brit utters four swear words a week. Really? Add a zero, surely.

Puts me in mind of a gag about a seven-year-old and a four-yearold. "You know what?" says the seven-year-old. "It's time we started swearing. I'll swear first, then you." "OK," says the other.

At breakfast, Mum asks the seven-year-old what he wants.

"I'll have Coco Pops, b****."

WHACK! He flies out of his chair.

Mum asks the four-year-old, sternly: "What do you want?" "Dunno - but it won't be f*****g Coco Pops."
