Kroll Ontrack Adds Audio Discovery Capabilities to Award-Winning Review Tool.

Ontrack Inview now enables discovery services customers to search and review electronic, paper and audio files in one application

MINNEAPOLIS -- Kroll Ontrack[R], the industry's largest provider of electronic and paper-based document discovery and computer forensics services, today announced the addition of audio discovery technology to the company's online review tool, Ontrack[R] Inview[TM]. Legal teams can use the online software to search hours of audio for specific words and phrases, jumping to targeted portions of the audio file as they make responsive and privilege decisions - ultimately driving down the cost of litigation.

"Under the amended Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) sound recordings are now included in the definition of electronically stored information (ESI). As such, parties are potentially obligated to disclose these audio files as part of discovery," said Nancy Robertson, senior director of Legal Technologies product management for Kroll Ontrack. "As the recognized leader in the electronic discovery space, it is our mission to continue to be the first to provide innovative tools that address our customers' most pressing legal technology needs. As such, we've enhanced Ontrack Inview to include audio discovery capabilities."

Providing discovery customers with the power to perform online document review in a secure database repository uniquely dedicated to their case, Ontrack Inview enhances the efficiency of the review process by combining proven document review features with cutting-edge topic review functions. The new audio discovery capabilities further optimize the time and cost savings associated with this application by enabling customers to:

* Review audio, electronic and paper documents in one place, concurrently, in order to get a full understanding of the issues in the case.

* Search the phonetic content within audio files, finding responsive voicemails, call center recordings and unified messages faster and more cost-effectively than transcribing or physically listening to a set of audio files in its entirety.

* Prioritize, annotate and categorize audio files in the same manner as electronic files, thereby enhancing the speed and accuracy of review.

* Produce audio files alongside electronic and paper documents.
