Kosovo is taking revenge; economic alternatives are sought.
Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci instructed all ministries, including the Chamber of Commerce of Kosovo, to submit detailed data on the economic cooperation with Macedonia, Koha has learned from sources close to the Kosovo Government. The sources explained that this instruction was passed so that the authorities could consider other alternatives for economic cooperation. These sources confirmed that this decision is the result of the cooling of relations between the two countries, noting that the prolonging of the establishment of diplomatic relations was the decisive factor. Xhemail Dauti from the Chamber of Commerce of Northwestern Macedonia also confirmed recently that Kosovo is replacing Macedonia with other alternatives. Kosovo analyst Halim Matoshi said for Koha that this new alternative is Albania. He believes that Macedonia will realize that it has made a mistake very soon and it will see that every attempt to underestimate Kosovo politically will boomerang.
