Korean fugitive wanted for voice phishing nabbed in Makati City.
A Korean fugitive wanted for voice phishing and swindling related to telecommunications fraud in South Korea was arrested in Makati City on Wednesday, police said.
Police identified the suspect as Kim Youngin, 41. According to police, Kim was spotted in Ermita, Manila and was followed by combined operatives led by the Manila Police District back to his condominium unit in Makati City where he was arrested at 3:30 p.m.
According to police, Kim is allegedly involved in a $530,000 telecommunications fraud in South Korea.
Police are now coordinating with officials of the Bureau of Immigration for Kim's deportation to South Korea.
