Korea Democratic peoples Republic of : N. Korea unveils new and improved weapon systems.
North Korea has introduced a set of new and improved weapons systems which includes an intercontinental ballistic missile during its biggest military parade to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of its ruling Workers' Party on Saturday.
The significant weapons included the apparently improved ICBM, called KN-08, which is said to be capable of travelling some 12,000 km ? far enough to strike the U.S. mainland.
The missile was initially unveiled during a parade to celebrate the centennial birthday of the North's late founder Kim Il-sung in April 2012. It was tipped with a pointy warhead then. However, the warhead appeared round this time, indicating that some upgrades or modifications have been made to it.
During the broadcast of the parade at Kim Il-sung Square in Pyongyang, the North's Korean Central Television said that the strategic rockets were fitted with "diversified, miniaturized" nuclear warheads that have "super-precision" strike capabilities.
