Kordai checkpoint still not closed for repairs as warned: MP.

MP Abdyvahap Nurbayev asked the government about the beginning of renovation works at the Kordai checkpoint.

"It was announced earlier that the Kordai checkpoint will be closed for repairs from January 20, 2020. Repair works haven't started yet. For what reason there is a delay?" he asked.

The government representatives told him that the agreements have been signed, the issue will be considered.

The State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan said earlier that the Ak-Jol (Kyrgyzstan) border crossing point and Kordai (Kazakhstan) border crossing points will be closed for reconstruction since January 2020.

The Ak-Tilek border crossing point near Khunchi village, Issyk-Ata district, Tokmok border crossing point, Ken-Bulun border crossing point, Kaindy border crossing point,Chaldybar border crossing points should be used instead to cross into Kazakhstan.
