TELECOMWORLDWIRE-21 April 2008-Kopieersystemen Nederland selects Anubex to modernize IT(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Anubex, a provider of solutions for the modernisation of legacy applications, has announced it has been awarded a contract to modernize the IT of Dutch KN bv (Kopieersystemen Nederland), a Konica Minolta distributor in the Netherlands.

According to the company, the modernization will involve the migration of the company's core business systems to an improved and open infrastructure. As a result of the migration, KN will be ensured continuity of its core business, while it incrementally implements a flexible SOA.

Technically, the migration will involve the transformation of the applications from ISAM/COBOL to an Oracle RDBMS. At the same time, the applications will be ported from a Wang/VS minicomputer to a Windows environment.

The project, valued at approximately EUR500,000, is scheduled to be completed with all migrated applications taken into production in December 2008. The company will then take the migrated system live over the course of a weekend. Until then, a team of Anubex migration experts and IT staff from KN will collaborate to prepare for the final migration, the company claims.
