Kohli's team lands Orient Travel Challenge.

Dubai: Free-swinging Moshe Kohli unleashed a hot putter to propel his team to an impressive victory in the Etihad-supported Orient Travel Golf Challenge at Emirates Golf Club last weekend.

Riding on three gross birdies, Kohli contributed 34 points as his team, consisting of Manoj Kapur. Mukesh Kochhar and Viren Varma, tallied 80 points, winning the team honours in a close finish.

Consistently drilling his approach shots close to the pins, Kapur also made his presence felt with two gross birdies while Kochhar and Varma made some crucial par putts when it mattered most to round off a good day at work.

With two best scores in a team of four being added to the team's total, the Gurbax Singh-led team, which included his daughter Baljit Kaur, Paul Joseph and Bala Subramaniam, combined effectively to make it to the podium with a tally of 79 points.

It was Babu Subramaniam, who produced the best performance of the day, rattling up a brilliant 38 points to win the top prize in the individual category, beating his nearest challenger Paul Joseph by a good three points.

James McKenna (4th hole) and Sean Wells (15th) won the nearest to the pins prizes while Wells made it a aACAydouble' when he walked away the longest drive prize on the 12th hole as Samjhana Lama took the straightest drive honours on the par-5, 10th.

Shaikh Faisal Bin Khalid Qasimi, President of Orient Travel, presented the prizes in the company of Asim Arshad, CEO of Orient Travel and Syed Mohammad Shahzad Naqvi of Etihad at Emirates Golf Club.
