(Date: Monday, March 26, 2012 )

Kohler Co's Numi integrated toilet has received accolades from two of the most prominent global design award organisations -- Good Design and iF.

"As a global company, our goal is always to be on the leading edge of design and innovation," said Mohamed Nada, regional marketing manager at Kohler Co.

"Numi convinced the judges -- and consumers in the across the Middle East and the globe - not only with its advanced technology and amazing user experience, but also with its beautiful, minimalist design. We are truly honored to receive this recognition from two of the most respected global design organizations," Nada said.

Of the 3,162 applications entered in the 2011 Good Design Award, the Kohler Numi toilet was selected as one of 62 house fixtures product recipients of the prestigious award. Organized by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP), the Good Design Award is a comprehensive program for the evaluation and encouragement of design.

Out of 2,923 entries, Numi was selected as the recipient of the renowned iF Awards 2012 for product design, under the bathroom / wellness category.

Regionally launched at the Index 2011 in Dubai and available through the Kohler distributor network, Numi is a celebration of the most technologically inspired experience in personal convenience, said Nada.

Adopting legendary architect Mies van der Rohe's "Less is more" mantra, the Kohler design team took a minimalist approach to Numi's creation, arranging complex technological functions internally within a limited space, all while presenting extreme simplicity externally. -- TradeArabia News Service
