Kohat police arrest five POs, recover arms and ammunition.

KOHAT -- The district police on Thursday arrested five proclaimed offenders among 86 suspects during search and strike operation here and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition.

The spokesman of DPO of district police said that on the directive of Kohat DPO Sohail Khalid, the district police launched operation against criminals and POs and recovered six Kalashnikovs, seven guns, three rifles, 15 pistols, two repeaters, 26 chargers, 3,000 cartridges, one and a half kilogram heroin and eight kilogram hashish from their possession.

Moreover proclaimed offender Muhammad Nazir resident of Orakzai Agency wanted to Punjab police in a murder case was also arrested. A murder case was registered against him with Raiwend police station of Lahore since 2012.

Proclaimed offender Muhammad Nazir has been kept in lock up of Jerma police station here in Kohat, he will be handed over to Punjab police after completion of legal formalities.
