Knowles Transport Wins Distribution Contract.
East Anglian haulier Knowles Transport have recently signed a contract, worth approximately [pound]2m. per year, with the Princes Group, making them sole distributor for the Group's Food Service Division.Knowles will handle all aspects of distribution, including national transport, storage and stock control, for the division, delivering to cash and carry outlets, caterers and manufacturers throughout the UK.
Knowles Transport, working from their Wimblington depot, have been involved for the past ten years with distribution for Oxbridge Foods who were bought by blue chip company Princes Foods in June 1999. The existing transport services were maintained until August when the new contract was signed with the Princes Group. Overall volumes have been greatly expanded due to the combined volumes of the new division.
