Knowledge-based solution.

CAMWorks from TekSoft Inc, Phoenix, AZ, is fully integrated to operate within the SolidWorks environment--it uses SolidWorks geometry to generate toolpaths to ensure the part machined is the same part that has been modeled. It also eliminates file transfers. Automatic feature recognition identifies more than 30 prismatic features including pockets, slots, holes, bosses, and more. With its knowledge-based machining features, the technology database allows methods and expertise to be captured for improved efficiency and plant-wide consistency. There is a manual override for all automatic functions to put the user in control. Other features include automatic stock creation, automatic operation generation, machining operation and are presented in familiar operation browser format, and much more.
