Klose cutting out the somersault.

AGE catches up with everyone in the end, and the latest to fall foul is German forward Miroslav Klose.

The veteran striker is dropping his trademark somersault celebration in order to stay fit for the 2014 World Cup.

Klose is one strike behind the World Cup finals' all-time top goalscorer, Ronaldo, and knows it will be his last chance to top the Brazilian as he'll be 36 by the time of the finals.

Klose, who has 14 finals goals, said: 'I think I can still do the somersault, but I do not want to as I want to be around in 2014."

The former Bayern Munich marksman has won 125 international caps and proved he can still cut it at the top level by scoring three times in the qualifiers against Ireland and Sweden - without a somersault in sight.
