TELLY presenter Kirsty Gallacher and actor Philip Olivier haven't had time to celebrate their sports success.

They were crowned champions of Channel 4's The Games on Friday night after nine days of gruelling competition. But any hope of partying was dashed when they were thrown in to last night's Champion of Champions clash.

Former Brookside star Philip, who wona record seven of nine events, said: ``We could have done with a breather!''

In the girls' competition, Kirsty put in an equally impressive performance by notching up six victories.

So Solid's Lisa Maffia and Liberty X singer Kevin Simm came second overall - and were also in last night's final.

The contestants' efforts have helped raise thousands of pounds for charity
