Intel selected Kingston for its commitment to quality, expertise in design, manufacturing, and worldwide logistics. As the independent leader in memory products, Kingston is capable of producing more than two million modules per month worldwide. Kingston will be capable of supplying a significant portion of the RDRAM modules necessary to support the future Pentium 4 processor launch.

"Kingston has achieved great success in streamlining order fulfillment processes with other OEM customers. We are pleased that Intel has chosen Kingston to provide memory modules for Pentium 4 processor based systems," said David Sun, co-founder and vice president, Kingston. "Using Kingston will ensure our customers the highest level of commitment to quality and customer service," continued Sun.

"Our relationship with Kingston has always been positive and mutually beneficial," commented Pat Gelsinger, vice president and chief technology officer, Intel. "Kingston's ability to provide large availability of RDRAM modules is a testament to Kingston's continued innovation in manufacturing and supply chain management, that is resulting in dramatic price and cycle time reductions for the industry," added Gelsinger.

Kingston will offer 64MB, 128MB and 256MB ECC and non-ECC RIMM module kits to Intel's Pentium 4 processor customers.

"The expanded relationship with Intel solidifies Kingston's standing as one of the leading suppliers of PC memory," said Steve Cullen, Director and Principal Analyst of Semiconductor Services at Cahners In-Stat Group. "The initial investment in this program ensures RIMM availability at a lower cost, which allows PC OEMs to become early adopters of the Pentium 4 at minimal overall risk to their revenue stream."
