Kings Chess a top draw.

ALITTLE over three weeks after the World Championships, Viswanathan Anand will play in the Kings Chess Tournament, which could be one of the strongest round- robin tournaments of the year.

The event will be held in Medias, Romania, from June 23 to July 4 and will feature five players from the top 10 of the world with four of them from top six.

The big attraction will be World No. 1 in ratings, Magnus Carlsen ( 2835) besides Anand ( 2799, World No. 4).

The others in terms of the rankings in ratings are Teimour Radjabov ( 2784, World No. 5), Sergey Karjakin ( 2766, World No. 6), Vassily Ivanchuk ( 2764, World No. 10) and Liviu- Dieter Nisipeanu ( 2648, World No. 113).

The average rating of the event will be 2766. Without Nisipeanu ( 2648) the rating of the top- five was a whopping 2790. The Romanian No. 1, Nisipeanu, has participated in the last three editions of the tournament.

Meanwhile, a week after the World Championships, Moscow will host the Tal Memorial with the top three of the world figuring in it.
