King trademarks "Candy" in the EU, U.S.
New York (AirGuideBusiness - Business & Industry News) Wed, Mar
5, 2014 - King, the studio that created the Candy Crush Saga game, has
trademarked the word "Candy" in the EU and the U.S. to keep
application developers from using it in their game titles. King asserts
the trademark is designed to avoid confusion with other game offerings.
Some app developers have expressed concern over being allowed to
trademark such a generic word as candy.
