Kim comedy takes PS283k at box office.

Byline: HALINA WATTS

THE Hollywood movie about a plot to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong-un took PS283,000 at the box office in its first week.

The Interview, starring Seth Rogen and James Franco, was the 10th highestgrossing film after opening at 287 cinemas in the UK. It was trounced by Disney's animated hit Big Hero 6, which earned PS2.4million.

The Interview's US release had been delayed after terror threats were made against cinemas screening it.

North Korea was also accused of hacking into Sony Pictures' computer system and releasing embarrassing emails about some of the world's biggest stars.

It led to the resignation of boss Amy Pascal, after she made racist comments about President Barack Obama's film preferences.
