Kids' book blunder.

BRITAIN'S biggest booksellers have recalled their catalogue after recommending a novel which contains violence, sex and swearing for kids as young as eight. Waterstone's placed the thriller Sawbones by Scots author Stuart MacBride in their Guide To Kids' Books.

Thecatalogue,availablein-store and by mail order, stated: "Kids always enjoy books which feel a bit subversive or naughty."

The novel features a serial killer touring the US and, along the way, killing young women.

Waterstone's admitted they had made a "terrible mistake" and are now recalling every copy of the catalogue.
