Kidnapping of Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi an open challenge for govt.

QUETTA -- The politicians, nationalists as well as other public circles continue to strongly condemn the kidnapping of the prominent personality of the province and senior leader of the Awami National Party (ANP), Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi.

They termed his kidnapping as a matter of great concern. In a statement issued here by the Balochistan National Party (BNP), it was charged that the rulers have miserably failed to protect the life and property of the masses with no segment is safe in the province.

It was demanded of the government to ensure early recovery of Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi as well as all the kidnapped doctors and missing persons in the province.

Moreover, the President of Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP), Nawabzada Talal Akbar Bugti also strongly condemned the kidnapping of the ANP leader and said that the government failed to provide protection of the masses and the incidents of kidnapping for ransom have become a matter of routine in the province.

He also charged that the rules seem to be powerless and helpless, and adding he said that the incident of kidnapping of the personality like Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi has exposed them as well. Their claims regarding the protection of life have also proved wrong so far, he maintained.

Nawabzada Talal Bugti said that the situation has worsened even than the dictatorial era in the past as there seems no change in the situation of the province.

The central President of BNP-Awami and Senator Mir Israrullah Zehri expressing concern over the kidnapping of Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi said that if the government wanted to recover him as well as Dr. Abdul Manaf Tareen and other kidnapped persons, it could do it in 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the prominent tribal personality and former caretaker Chief Minister, Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Barozai said that the kidnapping of Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi is nothing but an attempt to disturb the situation in the province.

He said that the incidents of increasing incidents of kidnapping for ransom are matter of great concern. He said that the kidnapping of political leaders after the doctors and traders is just sorrowful, and the government should take effective measures for an immediate recovery of Arbab Kasi and all other kidnapped persons in the province.

Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti has also condemned the kidnapping of Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi.

In a statement issued here, he charged that there seems no government in the province as members of the assembly included in the coalition government are busy in distribution of the ministerial portfolios.

He asked the kidnappers of Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi to release him on the humanitarian grounds.

Moreover, the chairman of Hazara Democratic Party (HDP), Abdul Khaliq Hazara also demanded an immediate recovery of the ANP's senior leader Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi.

Similar views were also expressed by the Provincial President of Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP), Mir Sadiq Umrani.

In a statement issued here the other day, he expressed deep concern over the increasing incidents of kidnapping in the province.

He also termed the incidents as conspiracy of creating differences among the brotherly nationalities in the province.

The ANP leader, Malik Usman Achakzai said that the kidnappers of Arbab Kasi and Dr. Abdul Manaf Tareen should be taken to task.

In a statement, he said that kidnapping of the ANP's senior leader is an open challenge for the government. It is also a sheer failure of the government, he charged.
