Kidnap bid foiled by a Chihuahua; PET.

A BRAVE Chihuahua saved a mum and her 18-monthold daughter from a terrifying abduction ordeal. Piccolo sprang into action when a topless man opened the car door and repeatedly ordered mum Charlie Preston, 25, to "get out and come with me".

The brave dog, who is just 10 inches tall, jumped on to toddler Lilly's lap, barking and snarling with a ferocity "worthy of a lion" to see off the assailant, said relieved Charlie.

Police are hunting the man, who was black and in his 20s, after the incident in Eastleigh, Hants. Charlie, of Winchester, Hants, said: "Piccolo could sense I was scared.

"He is a little hero."

A police spokesman said: "We'd say a big 'well done' to the little dog."
