Kidder Peabody renews lease

Jones Lang Wootton, the international real estate advisory firm, has negotiated a new 10-year lease consisting of 41,287 square feet on behalf of client Kidder, Peabody & Co. Incorporated at the Wells Fargo Center in downtown Los Angeles.

Tom Miller, a director in JLW's Los Angeles office and Mark Ravesloot, a JLW director based in New York, jointly arranged the transaction. Kidder will occupy contiguous floors 23 and 24 in the 2.4 million-square-foot mixed-use complex located at the center of the Bunker Hill office district. The project was originally developed by Maguire Thomas Partners.

Tenants at Wells Fargo Center include, amongst others: Wells Fargo Bank; Chemical Bank; Goldman, Sachs & Co; Fuji Bank; Deloitte Haskins & Sells; Gibson Dunn & Crutcher; and Marubeni Corporation.

The 54-story Wells Fargo Bank Building, totaling 1.3 million square feet and the 45-story IBM Tower consisting of 1.1 million square feet of office space, are linked by the tree-lined Wells Fargo Plaza which features a black aluminum sculpture entitled "Night Sail" by Louise Nevelson.
