Kidde Aerospace & Defence awarded contract for Bombardier CSeries Aircraft Fire Protection System for undisclosed sum.


Kidde Aerospace & Defense is to supply the Fire Protection System for Bombardier Aerospace's CSeries commercial aircraft family under a contract for an undisclosed sum, the company announced on Friday.

Kidde Aerospace & Defence, a business unit of Hamilton Sundstrand, provides fire protection and safety systems for commercial and military aviation and ground vehicle applications

The integrated Fire Protection System comprises advanced technology smoke detectors, fire detectors, environmentally friendly fire extinguishers and integrated control electronics.

The CSeries aircraft integrated fire protection system will be primarily designed and manufactured at Kidde Aerospace & Defense's Wilson, North Carolina facility in US.

Hamilton Sundstrand is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp (NYSE: UTX).
