Kid Fryers signs up to Old Trafford pay rebels.
MANCHESTER UNITED teenager Ezekiel Fryers has joined the group of contract rebels who will not commit their long-term future to the club.
Talented defender Fryers, 19, is coming to the end of his current deal and could be snatched away in the summer for a small fee, with Tottenham leading the list of interested teams.
Fryers is one of several top kids at United, including Ravel Morrison and Paul Pogba - both 18 - who have been getting on the wrong side of Sir Alex Ferguson over the issue.
Morrison is now officially available and being offered to clubs at home and abroad, as Fergie looks to cash in on him.
French starlet Pogba is attracting interest from Chelsea as well as around Europe.
Peanuts But Fryers is also a prize capture because of his pace, ability and strength. He can play at centre-half or leftback and has made a couple of appearances in the Carling Cup.
United are reluctant to hand out bumper contracts to their home-grown discoveries before they have proved their worth at the highest level.
But the latest generation of starlets are not happy just to toe the line, according to insiders.
Now United's reserve matches are a magnet for top scouts who are looking at the 'refusenik Reds' and licking their lips at the prospect of signing them on the cheap.
Fryers would cost a tiny fee if he went abroad, while Spurs could go to a tribunal and still end up paying peanuts.
