Khurram Zaki's funeral prayer offered outside CM House.
KARACHI -- Funeral prayers for Khurram Zaki, a human rights activist and social media campaigner who was shot dead last night, have been offered outside Chief Minister House on Sunday evening.
Heavy police contingents are deployed at the area surrounding the CM House.
Earlier, four assailants riding on two motorcycles had opened fire on Zaki at a tea shop located in Sector-11B of North Karachi. The activist was killed, and two others - journalist Rao Khalid and bystander Aslam, were critically wounded in the attack.
The family members of Zaki have demanded of the government to bring the culprits behind the gruesome killing to justice.
A case of the incident has been registered in Sir Syed Town police station. Sections of anti-terrorism act are also included in the first information report (FIR).
