Khokhar urges nation to support Parachinar Caravan.

ISLAMABAD, July 23, 2011 (Balochistan Times): Advisor to Prime Minister on Human Rights Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar on Friday appealed to the nation and humanitarian organizations to support the Parachinar Relief Caravan, which would leave for the town on July 24. Mustafa Khokhar was talking to a delegation of Majlis-Wahdat-Muslimeen (M.W.M) and Youth of Parachinar (YOP), which called on him here, said a press release. Member of the Coordination Committee for Relief Caravan Allama Ejaz Hussain Bahiste told the Advisor that in view of the forthcoming holy month of Ramazan there was a dire need to provide food and other basic necessities to the people of Parachinar on humanitarian basis. Due to the five-year continuous siege of Parachinar and the occupation of Thall-Parachinar Road by terrorists, normal life of the local people has been destroyed and they are facing shortage of food and medicines. Parachinar is turning into a disaster zone, the delegation member said. The Advisor acknowledged that the people of Parachinar needed immediate help and the Human Rights Ministry would support the Caravan for the purpose. Khokhar requested different ministries and departments to make necessary arrangements and to provide security for the safe journey of the Caravan to Parachinar. Khokhar informed the delegation of steps taken by him like provision of free education to the students of Parachinar in different universities and also free medical facilities for people of the area in the whole country. The YOP Chairman appreciated the Advisor for highlighting the issue of Parachinar.
